Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept all private health insurers?
    The insurance providers are listed on the "services" page, however, due to limitations with mobile roaming, not all providers allow for on the spot rebates with the physiotherapist and so will require that you manually claim your rebate online at a separate time.
  • Do I need a referral?
    No, you do not need a referral to see a Women's Health Physiotherapist, although referrals can often be helpful and your therapist will usually ask for your Dr's details so as to keep them up to date on your progress.
  • How do I pay?
    We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), debit cards and cash. The full payment is required at the time of the appointment. All Medicare rebates are available on the spot with a Chronic Disease Management plan (formally known as an Enhanced Primary Care plan), available from your GP.   • Can I still participate in a Pelvic Floor Muscle assessment if I am menstruating?
    Yes you can if you are comfortable. The physiotherapist will be more concerned with the muscle function that what is seen visually.
  • What do I need for my appointment?
    If you have a pillow and towel at home and you have completed the home visit questionnaire that the physio will send you, then you are all set to go. The physiotherapist will provide all other equipment and information. If you are unable to provide these items, please inform the physiotherapist prior to your consultation.
